went out, and entered into the swine: and the herd ran violently down a steep
place into the sea, (they were about two thousand;) and were choked in the
sea.
¡iNIV¡jHe gave them permission, and
the evil spirits came out and went into the pigs. The herd, about two
thousand in number, rushed down the steep bank into the lake and were
drowned.
¡iBBE¡jAnd he let them do it. And
the unclean spirits came out and went into the pigs; and the herd went
rushing down a sharp slope into the sea, about two thousand of them; and they
came to their death in the sea.
¡iASV¡jAnd he gave them leave. And
the unclean spirits came out, and entered into the swine: and the herd rushed
down the steep into the sea, in number about two thousand; and they were
drowned in the sea.

gave them an account of what had been done to him who had the evil spirits,
and of the fate of the pigs.

thy friends, and tell them how great things the Lord hath done for thee, and

out of him, turned him about in the press, and said, Who touched my clothes?

"Your daughter is dead," they said. "Why bother the teacher
any more?"

him, and entereth in where the damsel was lying.

After he put them all out, he took the child's father and mother and the
disciples who were with him, and went in where the child was.

him. But he, having sent them all out, took the father of the child and her
mother and those who were with him, and went in where the child was.

to you, get up!").

he said to her, Talitha cumi, which is, My child, I say to you, Get up.

hand, he saith unto her, Talitha cumi; which is, being interpreted, Damsel, I
say unto thee, Arise.

age of twelve years. And they were astonished with a great astonishment.

and walked around (she was twelve years old). At this they were completely
astonished.
¡iBBE¡jAnd the young girl got up
straight away, and was walking about; she being twelve years old. And they
were overcome with wonder.
¡iASV¡jAnd straightway the damsel
rose up, and walked; for she was twelve years old. And they were amazed straightway
with a great amazement.

commanded that something should be given her to eat.

let anyone know about this, and told them to give her something to eat.

orders that they were not to say anything of this; and he said that some food
was to be given to her.
¡iASV¡jAnd he charged them much that
no man should know this: and he commanded that something should be given her
to eat.
